Phil Borkin
Senior Manager, Investment Strategy
Phil joined JBWere in early 2019, bringing deep experience in macroeconomics and market strategy. Prior to this, he was a Senior Macro Strategist at ANZ and previously worked as New Zealand Economist for Goldman Sachs in both Auckland and Sydney. Phil has a strong interest in economic cycles and how they shape markets, investment opportunities, and long-term returns.
He holds a conjoint BCom/BSc and a First-Class Honours degree in Economics from the University of Auckland. Outside of work, Phil enjoys spending time with his three young children and unwinding with American sports, especially baseball with nice craft beer.
