Peter Stokes

Peter has over 40 years of experience in financial markets and brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to his role as a Financial Adviser at JBWere. He began his career in 1984 as a Stock Exchange Operator on the trading floor with Hendry Hay Smythe and Horton, continuing in this role with Francis Allison Symes before transitioning to National Mutual Funds Management in Wellington in 1991 as Product Manager for their suite of Unit Trusts.
In 1997, Peter returned to Auckland to join JBWere and specialises in working with high-net-worth families, multi-generational trusts, and charitable organisations. His depth of experience and long-standing relationships allow him to provide clients with thoughtful, personalised advice and guidance through all stages of their financial journey.
He was also a Foundation NZX Broker, reflecting his longstanding commitment to New Zealand’s financial services industry.
Outside of work, Peter is a passionate tennis player and an active committee member of both Tennis Auckland and the International Club of New Zealand (ICNZ). He also enjoys travelling with family and friends
