Matthew Williams

Matthew works with the Wealth Advisers team, for-purpose partners, and private clients, providing specialist advice on governance, impact strategy, capital deployment, and stewardship of philanthropic wealth. He facilitates collaborations among funders and for-purpose entities.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from University of Auckland, ESG Leadership Post Grad from University of Auckland, and is an IoD chartered company director.
Over the past 15 years, Matthew, a former Chief Executive of Surf Life Saving Northern Region, has advised iwi, philanthropic trusts, Crown entities, private families, and global organisations on aligning capital, governance, and purpose in complex environments.
Matthew serves as Chair, director, and trustee for several for-purpose entities in Aotearoa New Zealand, and internationally.
